My communication style

I'm an enthusiastic proponent of Active Listening, a style where you can feel secure that you're being heard and understood. You'll find me friendly, supportive, and conversational. I express myself clearly without jargon, and you'll almost always leave feeling you made progress and gained understanding.

My journey to mental healthcare

During an earlier career in mass media, I experienced a powerful spiritual awakening where I became convinced that my primary purpose was to help heal people. I came to understand the abundance of sexual trauma, confusion, and compulsive behavior around me, which inspired me to focus on this area.

My goals for you

You are the primary decision-maker in terms of goal setting. This process is always about your agenda. If you're not clear about your therapeutic goals, it's my job to help you figure it out.

Our first session

Our first session will be based on our prior introductory meeting, where you identified what you're seeking from counseling. After restating the present issues, much of that first session involves asking clarifying questions and establishing where the early part of the process is likely to go.
