My communication style

I am an enthusiastic proponent of Active Listening (also known as Rogerian listening), a style of conversing wherein the client can feel secure that they are being heard and understood. You will find me to be very friendly, supportive, and conversational, and I will clearly express myself without technical jargon or 'psychology-speak.'

My journey to mental healthcare

During an earlier successful career in mass media and entertainment, I experienced a powerful spiritual awakening where I became convinced that my primary purpose in life was to help heal people, not to be an entertainer.

My goals for you

You are the primary decision-maker in terms of goal setting. This process is always about your agenda. If you're not clear about your therapeutic goals, it's my job to help you figure it out.

Our first session

Our first session will be based on our prior introductory meeting, where the clients identified what they are seeking from counseling. So, after ascertaining and restating what the present problematic issues are, much of that first session is likely to involve asking clarifying questions and establishing the parameters.
