Hi there, I'm Bobbie!

I work with adolescents and adults to help them achieve their therapeutic goals using a holistic approach. When I'm not practicing therapy, I enjoy gardening, being outside, listening to music, and spending time with friends and family.

My focus

I work with adolescents and adults facing sexual trauma, child abuse, developmental disabilities, peer relationship issues, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, stress, and life transitions.

My approach

I tailor my approach to each client's individual needs, drawing from motivational interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Strength-Based Perspective, and mindfulness. I also have experience with Christian Counseling.

My communication style

I actively listen, engage honestly, and share information openly. I adjust my communication style when working with clients who have developmental disabilities. I assign homework to help you practice skills that support your healing process.

I decided to become a therapist because I find it rewarding to help others achieve their life goals and overcome barriers to living a life worth living.

My goals for you

I meet with you to listen and discuss your identified needs, then we develop treatment goals to work on together. During sessions, we discuss your progress toward achieving those goals.

Our first session

We'll start building our therapeutic rapport to establish trust, connection, and comfort. I'll listen to what you want to share and answer any questions you have. At the end, we'll summarize the session and review homework for you to work on until next time.
