My communication style

I am very calm and soft-spoken. I speak to my patient slowly with a calm tone and explain things in great detail. I create an environment that makes patients feel comfortable and relaxed. I listen to patients with an open mind and no judgment.

My journey to mental healthcare

My journey in healthcare spans many years, initially beginning as a Registered Nurse, where I developed a strong inclination towards mental health services. This passion led me to become a Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, a role I have embraced wholeheartedly for more than five years.

My goals for you

I work with patients to identify goals that could be challenging but achievable to avoid discouragement down the road. In collaboration with patients and their loved ones, we develop SMART goals to evaluate what will be more beneficial in their care.

Our first session

Sometimes patients feel a little nervous during their first appointment, but I will try and make you feel very comfortable and relaxed. I will generally perform a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation. Please be prepared for me to ask a lot of questions about your symptoms, mental health history, medical history, and family history of mental health.
