My communication style

My style is clear and simple. I use terms and concepts that are part of your life experiences, then draw parallels between what you know well to new counseling concepts and perspectives. Most of all, an open, respectful, empathic discussion where you feel understood and progress is made.

My journey to mental healthcare

As a young child, I had great parents and was happy. As I was approaching school age, it became very apparent that I had severe learning, speech, and language problems, spiced with impulsivity and a limited attention span. I was diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and a Learning Disability.

My goals for you

I listen to your goals for counseling, making each session count by building upon your strengths/successes and adding new skills for the challenges in your life. I encourage your active feedback as to what is working and what is not.
