My communication style

My communication style is somewhat direct but kind and gentle. I never want a client to feel shamed or frightened by my communication; however, I am clear and don't tiptoe around the obvious issues. I will always guide and encourage the client to self-exploration in order to find the answers within themselves.

My journey to mental healthcare

At one time, I felt a great deal of anxiety and little direction in my life. I experienced several failures and was unhappy. I sought therapy and, fortunately, found a great therapist who helped me change my path. From there, I went back to school, acquired my Bachelor's degree in social work and Master's in Counseling. I wanted to give back.

My goals for you

I will always work with the client to set the treatment goals. Working together empowers the client to strive to reach the desired goals for their life. I am always clear about what it will take to reach the goals set. Surely, goals can change throughout the course of therapy. I am always open to making those changes as we both see the need.
