My communication style

I create a peaceful environment where you can fully describe what you're feeling. My intent is that every patient walks away feeling listened to and knowing they are an active participant in their treatment team.

My journey to mental healthcare

Prior to joining the nursing field, I worked in the US Navy on board submarines for over 12 years as a nuclear-trained electrician. Upon completion of my time in the Navy, I got a job working on robotics at a company called IM Flash in Lehi, UT. While there, I came to the realization that I had a desire to help people, not machines.

My goals for you

Goals are discussed and agreed upon by both the provider and the patient. In order for goals to be realized, it is imperative that the patient is active in their creation. Ideally, goals should be specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound; however, this type of goal is not always best in the field of mental health.

Our first session

During the first session with me, patients can expect to provide a comprehensive history of their mental and physical health, their current symptoms, and anything else they would like to share. It is important to obtain a clear picture of the patient so that treatment can be customized to each patient's individual needs.
