Hi there, I'm LaShonda!

My goal in therapy is to provide a safe place for others to heal.

My focus

I typically work with minorities who desire evidence-based care from someone who also has an understanding of spirituality and the Christian faith. I have had a high level of success in assisting clients with life transitions, grief, depression, spiritual struggles, and anxiety.

My approach

I use a person-centered and holistic approach to therapy. I am going to meet you where you are by exploring goals and activities focused on your unique needs. Since the mind, body, and spirit are interconnected, we will address issues holistically.

My communication style

I create a space that promotes growth and healing. I am down-to-earth and never want my clients to feel judged during our sessions. My goal is to provide an atmosphere that gives you the resources you need to thrive in life.

My journey to mental healthcare

I started off working as a case manager. As I helped families avoid eviction, I realized that there were often much deeper issues causing instability and family discord. I returned to graduate school to get the skills I needed to help people with deeper-rooted issues. I love helping people grow and heal.
