Starting therapy can be both daunting and exciting. Please give yourself credit for having the courage to begin. I will make a strong effort to make this experience as safe, supportive, and productive as possible. I see each client as having unique situations and needs, and tailor sessions to fit you while keeping your authenticity.
My focus
I work with couples arguing without resolution, lacking communication, having affairs, or considering divorce. I also help with heartbreak, grief, addiction, adult children launching, caretaking, work problems, depression, anxiety, and finding meaning. Assisting you in finding solutions so you can live authentically is my priority.
My approach
My approach includes humor when appropriate and a pragmatic view. Establishing trust and working together toward your goal is a top priority. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems Theory, and Imago Therapy for couples. Assisting you in identifying a treatment mode that gives you the skills and tools to attain your goal is key.
