Hi there, I'm Tamla!

I truly love helping people of all ages reach their fullest potential. I believe in allowing my clients to follow their path to whatever mental health goal they are trying to accomplish. I utilize varied treatment modalities, strategies, and interventions to help them get there.

My focus

I love working with clients who have a desire to make a change in their lives but may not have the mental tenacity or know-how to reach their goal. I work with you to get there. The only thing I ask is that you be honest about what you are truly trying to change in your life. We will then work as a team to help you achieve it.

My approach

I find talk therapy helpful in enabling clients to get to the root of their issues. I assist you with innovative interventions to reach your therapeutic goals using a solution-focused approach. I incorporate aspects of DBT into sessions, especially for homework, as I find it very beneficial.

My communication style

I think my greatest strength as a provider is being able to make valuable, trustworthy connections with my clients. I work hard at empowering them with mental tenacity through varied strategies and techniques to help them achieve their desired mental health and life goals.

My journey to mental healthcare

I have received extensive training in trauma. I have worked with children and adolescents, and I have experience treating family issues through a variety of therapeutic modalities.

My goals for you

I will work with you to set attainable goals that we develop based on the issues or concerns you present in therapy. We will process through the desired outcome and the strategies and interventions needed to get there. We make periodic assessments of progress and make changes when needed to ensure treatment goals are met.

During our first session, we will become acquainted with each other and discuss the issues and concerns you are presenting with and the outcome you desire to have. I will then provide you with my professional opinion regarding how we will work together to help you reach your goal.
