Therapy is a process of change and awareness. My role is to be someone you can freely speak with, to point out what you may not be seeing, and to challenge you when needed. Not every therapist is the right fit, and it's OK to go elsewhere. Choose the one who'll get you there.
My focus
I work with adults struggling with substance abuse, recovery, and issues of self-esteem and personal growth. My role is to help you identify what changes you want to make and navigate the impact these changes will have on your life.
My approach
I tailor my approach to how you best hear, see, and learn. I believe we can break issues down to thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. All three need to be addressed, but behaviors are the most powerful tool to change feelings and thoughts. This can be difficult, but living with pain is just as difficult.
