Hi there, I'm Joyelle!

I'm a therapist with a compassionate but direct and honest style. I work with people navigating stress, anxiety, relationship issues, and life transitions.

My focus

I work with individuals experiencing stress, anxiety, relationship issues, family conflicts, depression, addiction, career challenges, bipolar disorder, compassion fatigue, and coping with life changes. I have extensive experience with underserved populations including the LGBTQ+ community and those living with HIV/AIDS.

My approach

I practice cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, and reality therapy. I treat each person as an individual with unique needs and believe in a holistic approach where connecting you with community resources can be part of healing.

My communication style

My communication style is open, honest, and compassionate. I enjoy helping others and believe our sessions are a space to explore different ways of working through situations until we find what works for you. My job is to offer full support.

My journey to mental healthcare

What drives me as a therapist is knowing I can be the one person who offers compassion, a listening ear, no judgment, and unconditional support. I try to let my clients know that no matter what is happening in their lives, they are not alone.

I use SMART goals to help you set objectives that are specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, and timed. I also believe goals are flexible and sometimes need to be adjusted as we progress.
