I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Georgia. My areas of focus are Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Anger Management, and Grief.

My focus

I typically work with young adults to seniors. I work with Veterans and individuals who have a history of abuse. I am most comfortable treating clients with PTSD, Anxiety, Depression, low self-image, and suicidal ideation.

My approach

The theoretical approach I use in my work is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CBT). I believe the ability to reframe our thoughts is most helpful to reduce anxiety and depression. I utilize Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) techniques.

My communication style

My tone is calm and empathetic. My goal is to empower my clients by helping them learn more about themselves, learn to work through their pain to gain a better mindset and quality of life. If you want to heal, walk with me on your journey.

My journey to mental healthcare

My path to becoming a Therapist was shaped by both professional training and a deep interest in understanding human behavior and resilience. After completing my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, I pursued licensure and continued developing expertise in grief, trauma, and emotional regulation.

I set goals collaboratively with clients by identifying their main concerns, then turning them into clear, realistic, measurable steps. We break larger issues into manageable targets, build skills for coping and change, and regularly review progress to adjust as needed. The focus is practical, flexible, and client-centered.

The first session is focused on understanding what brings the client to therapy. I explore strengths, support systems, and goals for treatment. Clients can expect a structured but comfortable conversation where we begin building trust, clarify expectations for therapy, and outline initial steps for moving forward.
