Hi there, I'm Timothy!

My interest in pursuing a career in mental health developed out of a sense that I wanted to provide service to others in a way that fostered meaning and growth in their lives. I take pride in my ability to empathize with the people I work with and to help them move forward in life and awaken their own unique potential.

My focus

I typically work with adults with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and schizoaffective disorder. However, I am competent in working with clients in most areas where they would like to experience growth.

My approach

I am comfortable and competent working within the more Humanistic and Transpersonal orientations. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and the various mindfulness approaches.

My communication style

You can expect me to be friendly and attentive. I like to keep things informal and laidback so that when the client and I get into some more emotionally intense material in the session, we can transition in and out between the two.

My journey to mental healthcare

I was attracted to finding a career that would let me help people find purpose and meaning in their life as well as help clients discover and work through any conscious or unconscious resistance that is keeping them from being the person they want to be.

My goals for you

I like to let clients set their own goals while encouraging and exploring any resistance they may have towards either starting towards their goal or working towards the goal's completion.
