Hi there, I'm Bobby!

Thanks for taking steps to begin to look into therapy. I look to make this a simple and smooth process for my clients as we explore life. I use different techniques and modalities to keep clients engaged and help them reach their goals and desired outcomes. I welcome you to reach out whenever you feel ready to begin.

My focus

I welcome all clients, whether it is growing pains, career planning, or other obstacles that we face as we progress through life. It is normal to have ups and downs throughout life, but resilience is what helps us to prevail.

My approach

I use a cognitive behavior therapy approach, learning to target negative thoughts to improve behaviors and outcomes.

My communication style

I offer a non-judgmental approach to therapy, expressing clear and open communication in a non-biased fashion. By using skills of motivational interviewing, I will learn more about you from your own words, using reflective listening, clarifying questions, and paraphrasing.

My journey to mental healthcare

My journey into therapy began by me wanting to help people. I originally worked in a criminal justice setting and wanted to focus more on being proactive. I saw that mental health issues played a large role and wanted to focus on providing assistance in forms of therapy to what I saw as an underserved population.

My goals for you

I look forward to working hand in hand with my clients. Therapy is a collaborative effort. I believe that in therapy, it is not my responsibility to "drive the car" but rather to help keep the car on the right road by building your self-esteem and self-efficacy.

Our first session

The first session with me will be one where we learn more about each other. I will learn more about your background and what brought you to therapy. I like to see my clients gain a level of comfort in the first session and understand that the sessions are about them and helping them to get to their desired results.
