My goal is to empower you to experience therapeutic healing by collaborating with you to gain insight and learn new skills.

My focus

I specialize in trauma, abuse, educational stress, body image issues, major life transitions, grief, loss, relationship conflict, depression, anxiety, stress, self-esteem issues, parenting, substance use disorders, and working with survivors of human trafficking. I advocate for self-care, especially if you're experiencing vicarious trauma.

My approach

My approach is collaborative, nonjudgmental, culture-affirming, and innovative. I utilize Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Mindfulness to promote emotional well-being and help you develop coping strategies.

As an active listener, I listen with empathy and curiosity. I seek to understand you and the situation you are experiencing. Working with me is like working with a supportive teammate who serves as a collaborative resource to help you achieve your therapeutic goals.

My journey to mental healthcare

I was always attracted to the field of counseling. However, it wasn't until I went to therapy that I decided to walk in my truth to become a counselor. I was first a civil engineer for many years. I am driven to do this work because I understand that healing is essential to living one's best life. Clarity is the cornerstone of purpose.
