My journey to mental healthcare

Mental health treatment is dear to me. I come from a culture that sees mental health as spiritual, where many patients with mental illness are abandoned in prayer houses waiting for divine intervention. It was my quest to provide an alternative approach to treatment that informed my desire to specialize in mental health.
