My communication style

My tone of communication with my patients is non-threatening. I approach my patients warmly and calmly with their genuine interest in mind while listening to their complaints and symptoms without rushing to offer suggestions or solutions. This approach creates an enabling and conducive environment.

My journey to mental healthcare

I started my journey as an RN. I saw a vacuum in the field of mental healthcare which not many providers want to fill, thereby creating a healthcare disparity for individuals with mental health challenges. This disparity motivated me to join the field so that I can help these populations.

My goals for you

I usually use a co-design goal-setting approach. This approach considers the patient's inputs in the goal-setting process to make the individual feel comfortable, respected, committed, and motivated.

Our first session

During my first meeting with my patient, I usually start with a brief but warm introduction; thereafter, I listen attentively to hear the patient's precise reasons for their visit. Then, we work together to arrive at a workable plan of care that best fits the patient's situation.
