My focus

Dealing with anxiety and depression can be debilitating and cause difficulties with everyday tasks and relationships. Traumatic experiences can make us fearful of living, and daily experiences can sometimes confirm the lies we begin to believe about ourselves. I would love the opportunity to help you develop coping mechanisms to help you.

I work from a trauma-informed perspective and use cognitive-based treatments and exposure therapies to help you heal. Incorporating your faith into mental health practices can strengthen you along the way.

My journey to mental healthcare

I began providing counseling to individuals in the justice system. I felt compelled to continue on this journey when I noticed how just being present in someone's time of need has been instrumental in their growth. I later pursued a doctorate in social work because I wanted to expand and sharpen my skills to have a greater impact on my clients.

Our first session focuses on getting to know you, discussing the history of the problem you're experiencing, and how you envision moving forward. I invite you to ask questions to ensure you feel comfortable, so we can both be certain this will be a good match.
