Hi there, I'm Lisa!

I specialize in Christian counseling for those struggling with marriage, substance and alcohol abuse, spirituality, and general mental health.

My focus

Many of my clients struggle with marital discord; stress and anxiety; depression and grief. I also see clients for career planning and education advisement.

My approach

My approach to psychotherapy is grounded in a Biblical worldview. Much of my work is done through cognitive behavioral therapy and psychodynamic models in which the client is engaged on a path of learning the whys, hows, wheres, and whens related to where they find themselves as they present to therapy.

My communication style

Clients are listened to with a non-judgmental ear. They are encouraged to clearly define their goals and prepare to do the work to obtain success in those goals. Clients are supported and provided with opportunities to grow, gain insight, and become educated as they navigate their therapeutic journey.

My journey to mental healthcare

Working in the financial industry, a coworker faced a personal crisis she couldn't process. She was ready to make a permanent decision for a temporary dilemma. After our conversation, she returned the next day and said, 'You saved my marriage. You should be a therapist.' That moment confirmed what friends and family had encouraged for years.

My goals for you

S.M.A.R.T. goal setting is a key component of therapy. Clients are encouraged to set goals that are achievable and realistic for their lives. Clients learn to accept truths about what is within their control and what isn't, then become empowered to make changes that are necessary to get the results they want.
