Hi there, I'm Aaron!

I work with youth and adults facing grief, loss, depression, and anxiety. My primary goal is to help you work toward goals that support your strengths and emotional well-being as you journey toward becoming your best self.

My focus

I work with teens and adults facing loss, grief, anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem. The human spirit is indomitable, but undue burdens make life harder. I support clients in recognizing their strengths and learning new skills to overcome internal conflict and struggles.

My approach

I use a client-focused, person-centered approach with cognitive behavioral and motivational interviewing techniques. Each person is unique in their strengths and challenges. I seek to understand your concerns and goals through nonjudgmental acceptance and active listening.

My communication style

I want therapy to be a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel unburdened, present, and safe to be yourself. My hope is that you feel heard, supported, and encouraged in the work we do together.

My journey to mental healthcare

I was drawn to the helping professions out of the beauty of the human experience. Understanding other people was my way to better understand, accept, and love myself. Now it is my privilege and passion to help others become their best selves.

Once we have a goal to navigate toward, we can explore the struggles acting as barriers. Together, we can find a way to your success.

Our first session

Our first session will be an opportunity to connect and build rapport. We will talk about how things are going in your life, experiences from your journey, and any previous therapy. I want to hear your story and what prompted you to engage in counseling. I will also ask intake questions to understand your goals, challenges, and hopes.
