As we enter into a client/counselor relationship, it is vitally important to know you are entering into a gracious environment that is filled with empathy and a keenness to assist you toward the resolution of the issues that brought you to counseling.

My journey to mental healthcare

Growing up, I had an innate desire to help others on their life journeys. As I grew older, I gained a better understanding of the relationship between mental health and physical health. I am now a strong advocate of the connection that strengthening mental health will directly improve physical health and vice versa.

My goals for you

Setting goals for therapy is a critical component of counseling. As your counselor, I will work with you on identifying, setting, and sometimes modifying goals that are most important to you on your journey to life enrichment.

Our first session

During our initial session, we will set the foundation for our future sessions. This will be accomplished by building rapport, covering expectations of each other, gathering information for setting goals, and establishing the client/counselor relationship.
