Hi there, I'm Jamie!

I help you become your happier, more amazing self—not just surviving, but enjoying life. You are your best therapist; I provide tools, and you decide what works. I use humor for the hardest things and work with severe mental illness, grief, addictions, autism, eating disorders, pain, and family problems.

My focus

I work with misdiagnosed clients and those wanting solutions who will try new things. I help sad, anxious, angry, unstable, or beat-up clients who speak up when offended so we can collaborate. I'm direct and honest. I struggle with apathetic clients who want to wallow; I'm here for those seeking a way out.

My approach

I've been told I'm non-judgmental, fun, engaging, and sincere. Clients say they open up more than imagined or feel they've finally hit the jackpot. I pull from many therapy models to give you exactly what you need and assign homework to maximize your progress. I see the greatest potential in every person and help you see the same in yourself.

My communication style

Direct, honest, open, and non-judgmental. I try to remember you personally rather than write everything down. We'll have a good time, which helps you go deeper than you normally would. The first session or two I give you tons of tools upfront, then I get to know your world and the challenges inside.

My journey to mental healthcare

I grew up in a dysfunctional family with abuse and mentally unwell parents, kicked out and tossed between programs. I found myself in addiction with little self-esteem. With help, religious motivation, education, and love for the gym, I took it one step at a time. Now I'm a successful, happy, recovered therapist.

My goals for you

In the first session, we talk about goals, priorities, and obstacles. Each week we have homework and discuss how it's being implemented. We also reevaluate goals to make sure we're moving in the direction that's best for you.
