Hi there, I'm Michele!

I'm a client-centered therapist in the broadest sense—that's the core of what I do in any therapeutic environment. I work with people navigating substance abuse, relationship challenges, family dynamics, cultural transitions, and LGBTQIA+ concerns.

My focus

I'm comfortable working with people from diverse communities and populations. At the core, we're all human beings going through life, and life can be challenging. I see diagnoses as frameworks that describe symptomatic profiles to guide treatment.

My approach

I use an eclectic approach, drawing from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, CBT, Family Systems, Experiential, and Narrative methods. All of these I employ in a trauma-informed way, remaining sensitive to the cultural nuances present in our experiences.

Therapy is built on trust, non-judgment, ethical decision-making, and compassion. My communication style embodies these characteristics, creating a space where you feel heard and supported.

I care about people and understand the suffering that comes with life's challenges. What drives me is the privilege of journeying alongside clients as they grow and find improvements in their quality of life overall.

My approach to goal setting depends entirely on your preference. If you want structured goals and accountability, I'm right there with you. If you prefer a looser approach, I support that too. Goals help us feel purpose and direction.
