I am a military veteran who has been dedicated to helping others reach their potential for over 20 years. In my practice, I utilize evidence-based methods to help my clients overcome life challenges and problematic decision patterns.

My specializations are domestic violence, helping clients to overcome depression, self-esteem challenges, women's issues, anxiety, life transitions, co-dependency issues, substance use/abuse disorders, and faith-based support, life coaching/counseling.

I utilize a strengths-based approach that emphasizes resilience and recognition of values to empower clients as agents of positive change. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Person-centered models to support clients in overcoming challenges and problematic patterns, promoting holistic healing toward clearly defined goals.

I take a structured, focused, yet warm approach. Clients are greeted with friendliness and empathy. I am a good listener and strong advocate. Clients appreciate my honesty and ability to empathize with their situations. I have a down-to-earth, supportive approach and believe everyone has strengths and is capable of overcoming life's challenges.

My passion is supporting others in overcoming challenges and empowering them to discover and press toward their potential. I truly believe that if you know who you are before the battle, you will have the strength to overcome it.

My goals for you

Goal setting is important, and client goals are identified within the first couple of sessions. I determine desired outcomes and what clients are willing to do to make steps toward their goals. I use the SMART technique to ensure goals are specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound, supporting clients in establishing wins.

Our first session

The first session will begin with a warm welcome, and I will take the time to get to know my client. This session is a learning session to better understand what brought my client to therapy, how their challenge is currently affecting their lives, and what their personal goals are for counseling support.
