Hi there, I'm Cara!

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). I believe counseling provides a safe, supportive relationship where you can openly share your thoughts and feelings and learn new strategies for coping. I work with people navigating relationships, career challenges, anxiety, codependency, life purpose, life transitions, and women's issues.

My approach

I use several approaches in therapy because no one method fits all clients. Depending on your needs, I draw from Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Client-Centered approaches. I take a holistic view of health, recognizing that mind, body, and spirit are intimately connected and influence one another.

My communication style

My desire is to work with you to develop new patterns that lead to healthier coping skills, increased confidence, and a greater sense of purpose. I help you utilize what you already know and your strengths to overcome barriers and grow into who you want to become. I believe in human resiliency, but sometimes we need help to move forward.

My journey to mental healthcare

I believe this is what I was meant to do. I love helping people and witnessing those lightbulb moments with clients. I have always been the one people come to for a listening ear and the one they know can keep a secret.

I work with you to set attainable goals. We look at life patterns and which ones need to be broken or changed, and go from there. You know you best. I am here to come alongside you and help unpack the burdens that weigh you down.
