I am Jim Judkins, a licensed therapist who has over 38 years of experience providing counseling in the state of Iowa. I am from Iowa and have graduated from the University of Iowa. I know how to make you feel much better through counseling. I have been doing video telehealth counseling for over 13 years and have good results with my clients.
My focus
I am specifically trained in trauma treatments for people who have PTSD. I used the work with the VA and was on the PTSD treatment team. I am also trained in helping people with depression, anxiety, avoidance, panic attacks, OCD, and motivational issues. How to deal with work stress and loss issues are other areas I can help with.
My approach
I start by listening to your concerns and then come up with a treatment plan by the end of the first session. I will offer evidence-based therapies that we know work well with the type of presenting problem you have. By the end of treatment, people are usually smiling. It usually takes about 10-12 weekly sessions for most treatments I do.
