Hi there, I'm Wendy!

I am a clinical psychologist with a body/mind perspective, integrating movement and somatic awareness into my practice.

My focus

I have a long history of working with adults who struggle with trauma, depression, anxiety, panic, grief and loss, and relational issues.

My approach

I embrace a holistic approach to therapy incorporating psychodynamic (attachment-based), somatic (mind-body connection), and cognitive/behavioral therapy. Together, these processes can promote increased awareness of the whole self to better achieve mental stability.

My style is one that is open, honest, kind, and gentle. I enjoy finding creative ways to discuss issues.

My journey to mental healthcare

My journey began as a dancer. I found that the field of psychology mixed with movement was intriguing, so I pursued dance movement therapy and later clinical psychology with a concentration in somatic psychology. Working with individuals through a creative lens has always been my passion.

Goal setting is developed in partnership, between the client and therapist.

Our first session

The first session entails a discussion of client's needs, issues, and expectations in therapy. As well, the client provides a bit of bio/psycho/social history for a better understanding by the therapist of the client.
