Hi there, I'm Heather!

I work with individuals, couples, and families across all ages. I use an eclectic approach to meet your unique needs, drawing from multiple therapeutic methods to support you wherever you are in your journey.

My focus

I work with clients of all ages experiencing depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, bipolar, schizophrenia, grief, suicidal ideation, anger management, and dual diagnosis. My experience spans a wide range of life stages and challenges.

My approach

I blend cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, motivational interviewing, psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness practices, and solution-focused therapy. This flexible approach allows me to tailor our work to what will be most helpful for you.

My communication style

I offer a soft, supportive presence and always start where you are. I'm warm, friendly, and easy to talk to. My goal is to truly understand your situation and advocate for you as we work toward your therapeutic goals together.

My journey to mental healthcare

My own childhood experiences and life journey led me to this work. I've known from a young age that I wanted to help others. What drives me is making a positive difference in the lives of those I'm privileged to work with.

I work with you to clearly define realistic, measurable goals within the first session or two. I find that goals that are specific and achievable are most helpful. We'll use a structured approach to ensure we're working toward what matters most to you.

In our first session, I hope to gain an overall picture of what's going on in your life, why you're seeking therapy, and your primary goals. Since this is a lot to cover, we may continue into a second session. I start with a blank canvas and work with you to paint a complete picture.
