Therapy is like that one thing on your "To-Do List" that you want to start, but may not know how to start. This is the first step. Therapy begins with you deciding who fits your needs best. I specialize in individuals who have experienced trauma, grief/loss, depression, parent-child issues, dual-diagnosis substance use, and mental health.
My focus
Have you ever felt like you needed to free your mind? I work with individuals who may continue to feel gripped by grief, trapped by trauma, or down in depression. These feelings can impact life decisions, transitions, and cause anxiety about the future. I want to work with the type of client who wants to break patterns that no longer serve them.
My approach
I use cognitive-behavioral therapy, trauma-informed, Family Systems, strengths-based, and psychoeducation to help you identify and reshape unhelpful thought patterns. These approaches are hands-on and give you tools to feel more in control of your emotions and behaviors. I may adapt my approach to include practices like mindfulness and meditation.
