Hi there, I'm Deanna!

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) based in southern Illinois. I currently offer telehealth appointments to those residing in Illinois. I work with teens and young adults utilizing an eclectic therapeutic approach.

My focus

I work with kids, teens and young adults. Areas of focus include anxiety, stress, ADHD, depression, and Autism.

My approach

I utilize an eclectic approach when working with clients. I pull from different modalities which may include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Client Centered, and Play Therapy.

My communication style

My communication style is calm and personable. I want clients to feel comfortable as we create a space free of judgment that allows clients to discuss any topic with which they are comfortable.

My journey to mental healthcare

I have worked in mental health for over a decade. I saw a need within my community that only strengthened my desire to be a helper. In 2013, I began the journey to obtain my master’s degree in counseling. That degree and licensure has allowed me to work within practice settings to assist kids, teens, and young adults within my community.

Our first session

Our first session together will review your personal and familial history, as well as review what has encouraged you to seek counseling. This session allows us to begin building a connection and assisting the client with becoming comfortable with counseling.
