My communication style

I approach therapy with compassion and honesty. I will take time to understand your concerns and stay focused on your goals for therapy. Humor is used as appropriate. I promise, you will feel cared for and heard.

My journey to mental healthcare

My undergraduate work is in Marriage and Family Therapy. My Master's degree is in Social Work. For many years, I worked with children and families in a medical setting. I then worked as a family therapist and later as a marital therapist in private practice. For the last 9 years, I returned to a medical setting to work with cancer patients.

My goals for you

One of the initial things we will develop is goals for your therapy. These are goals that you develop to measure your progress and to help me understand your priorities. Goals are revisited regularly with your input and development.

Our first session

Our first session is an opportunity for us to meet each other. We will determine your goals for therapy, and an assessment will be completed to help me understand your concerns and life experience. The environment is casual and relaxed.
