I love to listen and learn. My communication style tends to be less focused on lecture and more focused on understanding.

My journey to mental healthcare

I really didn't become a therapist on purpose. My journey to this point was purely coincidental. As life and my education went on, I saw opportunities to learn more about the profession and decided to take them. It very slowly became crystal clear that this is what I should be doing. I've been doing this work for 20 years by now, and I belong here.

My goals for you

Your goals in therapy are your own, and collaboration is key to successful therapy. I will work with you on creating and reaching your goals for therapy through communication and problem-solving as needed.

Our first session

Your first session will include us getting to know each other and working on assessing needs and wants for therapy. I invite you to ask me any questions you feel are necessary and to be honest about what you expect. This session, though, expect me to ask more questions than normal.
