Hi there, I'm Lisette!

I have dedicated a large portion of my life to working within the helping and human service field. I am a firm believer in approaching the therapeutic process by “starting where the client is at” and letting them lead the process of their mental health journey.

My focus

I have worked with all ages. I work well with people who have been diagnosed with Mild to Severe Depression, Bipolar disorders, PTSD, all anxiety disorders, and Borderline Personality disorder.

My approach

I don't work within the confines of just one theoretical approach. I pull from a multitude of them depending on where the client is and what they need. I have used CBT, DBT, Humanistic/Client-Centered Counseling, and much more. Everyone is different, and no one approach fits the same for everyone.

My communication style

I always try to approach therapy sessions as a collaboration/partnership that provides guidance with the understanding that the only expert in the room is the consumer. I always try to provide an environment that is calming, comfortable, and safe for the consumer to be able to share thoughts and feelings openly.

My journey to mental healthcare

Throughout my life, I have been surrounded by hardships and have seen people I love battle with mental health. My life was impacted greatly by this. I myself have needed therapy to get through really turbulent times in my life, and wanted to give back to others and provide services that can make an impact in someone's life the way it has mine.

My goals for you

My approach to goal setting is to collaborate with the consumer, taking the lead in planning, and with me just to be utilized as a tool to help process, organize, and assist when planning how to reach their goals.
