My communication style

I am genuine, honest, and communicate assertively. Clients often tell me they never thought about things from that perspective. I want to help you think about your thoughts and feelings differently and break the never-ending loop that keeps you stuck.

My journey to mental healthcare

When I was a teen mom, a counselor made a huge impact on my life during one of my lowest emotional moments. She was there for me when I felt sad, lonely, and overwhelmed. I have never forgotten her presence and support. She is the reason I became a therapist—I wanted to help people the way she helped me.

My goals for you

Your goals are my goals. I work with you to create a realistic, attainable plan and provide encouragement and support as you navigate obstacles. I use positive reinforcement and acceptance to keep you moving forward.

Our first session

The first session is about listening to you. I want to hear not only what the issues are but who you are as a person. Information gathering is the focus, and I facilitate an environment where you feel comfortable and have the opportunity to ask me questions too.
