My focus

I work with clients struggling with mental health and emotional challenges that negatively influence their personal function, including co-dependency, depression, and ADHD. I also specialize in helping clients address substance use disorder, working through addiction patterns to find a path to long-term recovery.

My approach

I use motivational interviewing, cognitive behavior therapy, and the strengths perspective. These approaches allow my clients to be self-directed in managing their challenges.

My communication style is welcoming, respectful, and engaging. I want my clients to feel as if they are having a conversation with a trusted advisor who is concerned and whom they feel comfortable sharing with.

My journey to mental healthcare

When I decided to change my career, I wanted to do something that would make an impact. In my work, I have the opportunity to not only help my clients but to continually learn and be professionally and personally inspired.

My goals for you

My approach to goal setting is for the client to be self-directed to identify the areas they would like to address based on their priorities. I like to simplify the goals and make them specific and measurable so that, as a team, we can examine the progress.

Our first session

The first therapy session will be structured as an informal personal discussion. I will introduce myself and engage you to share your background information, which allows me to get a perspective of you based on your personal history. My goal is to make you feel safe, comfortable, and valued.
