Hi there, I'm Carol!

We all experience stressful things in life, and when there are just too many stressors creating an imbalance, it can be difficult to be kind to ourselves. I work to help others learn how to be kinder to themselves, solve problems, regulate emotions, and feel better about the way they are navigating life.

My focus

I specialize in working with adolescents and adults with chronic depression, anxiety, and overwhelming emotions. I enjoy working with patients experiencing life changes, such as divorce, career transitions, returning to school, and lifestyle adjustments. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and an Integrated Care approach.

My approach

Utilizing an Integrated Care approach includes taking a look at the problem both inward and outward. My approach to therapy is holistic and integrative. I blend elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and mindfulness-based approaches, which are client-centered, where my patients feel heard and understood.

My communication style

I provide a warm, understanding, therapeutic environment where you feel heard and understood. My patients can tell that they can discuss anything without feeling judged or discriminated against. The space I hold for my patients is sacred and safe.

My journey to mental healthcare

I have enjoyed many careers in my life, which led me to become a therapist. My parents raised me and my sisters to serve others. We are all in similar professions, and it's a way of life more than a profession.

My goals for you

I provide a space for my patients to make decisions and create their own goals, and I will provide feedback and teach them how to make decisions for themselves and to feel good about the decisions they make.

Our first session

Usually, the first session is a time where we are able to meet one another and I share information about my background and the therapeutic process, then focus on finding out as much as I can about them and what brings them to see me. I discuss confidentiality and expectations of how appointments will work and answer any questions that you may have.
