Jessica Harris
My name is Jessica Harris, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 10 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, and families through life’s challenges. My work is grounded in the belief that every system in a person’s life—family, school, community, culture, and environment—impacts their mental health and well-being. Because of this, I take a holistic and systemic approach to therapy, helping clients heal, grow, and build stronger connections.
I hold a Master’s degree in School Counseling from Indiana University Southeast and a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Campbellsville University. This combination allows me to bridge educational and therapeutic perspectives, providing insight into both emotional wellness and developmental needs. As a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I specialize in working with children and families through a systemic lens, recognizing that every aspect of a client’s life—relationships, culture, community, and environment—plays a vital role in mental health and well-being. My therapeutic approach is rooted in a holistic philosophy, integrating evidence-based practices with culturally responsive modalities to provide care that is both effective and meaningful.
I draw upon a diverse range of therapeutic models, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Ericksonian techniques, and Internal Family Systems (IFS), tailoring each session to meet the unique needs of my clients. While my primary work is face-to-face, I also offer flexible support for families who need alternative arrangements.
With warmth, compassion, and cultural sensitivity, I strive to create a safe and empowering space where children and families can explore challenges, strengthen connections, and build resilience. My goal is to help clients achieve lasting growth and healing by addressing the full spectrum of influences shaping their lives. Above all, I believe therapy should be a safe, supportive, and empowering space. I am committed to walking alongside my clients as they process difficulties, discover strengths, and create lasting change.
