I became a psychotherapist to help people achieve their treatment goals, have a clearer understanding of themselves, have healthy relationships, and feel better. I have assisted clients with symptoms of anxiety, depression, ADHD, strained communication, grief and loss, trauma, codependency, PTSD, anger, and substance use.
My focus
I typically work with adults who want to heal from whatever circumstances are causing their distress. I have successfully worked with clients from many socio-economic backgrounds and differing severities of mental health disorders. I can also coach those without severe mental illness to help them achieve their goals.
My approach
Therapy is a partnership. My role is to help clients self-determine, self-actualize, and become more empowered to make choices and decisions that produce wholeness, health, and more peace in their lives. I employ active listening, client-centered and solution-focused approaches, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-focused techniques.
