My communication style

My approach is down-to-earth and humanistic, with a touch of humor. Clients often tell me that my 'human' style puts them at ease during the therapy process. Once we've built a rapport, I gently challenge them to reach their goals.

My journey to mental healthcare

My journey to becoming a therapist began in nursing school, where I became fascinated by mental health nursing. This led me to study psychology with a focus on child and family psychology. I found a grad program that fit my life as a young mother, opening my private practice.

My goals for you

We start with a treatment plan questionnaire to identify key objectives tailored to your main goal. This plan is regularly updated as goals are quickly achieved. Progress is measured through assessment tools and real-life experiences that demonstrate your application in everyday life.

Our first session

In our first session, I will ask clients about their general background and what brought them to therapy, including any previous experiences with counseling. I also inquire about their typical day-to-day life to understand their current context. Finally, we discuss what they hope to gain from the therapy process.
