My communication style

The tone I present to my clients is one of talking to an old friend. I approach my clients in a manner that you would have if you were catching up with a friend at a barbecue you haven't seen in a few weeks or months. I strive to provide comfort and a safe space to talk about various comfortable or uncomfortable topics.

My journey to mental healthcare

My skills developed during adolescence, when friends and peers found me approachable to discuss hard topics. I have always provided a listening ear. It is my passion to listen and help others. I studied psychology to better understand people and how we think individually and in groups.

My goals for you

I typically set goals during the first or second session with a client. If a client is ready to go and knows exactly what they would like to achieve out of the services, we may set the goals during the initial meeting. If they are hesitant and need time to figure out where they would like to go with services, we may wait to set concrete goals.

Our first session

Clients should expect a pleasant chat during the first session to get to know one another. I will typically ask about where they live, who they live with, what they do for a living or where they go to school, and generally what they are interested in.
