Hi there, I'm Diane!

I have worked with a variety of clients with a variety of issues. I believe in starting where the client is. By that, I mean I want to see what someone is struggling with currently and start there.

My focus

I prefer adults. I feel like I can connect more with them. My clients have depression, anxiety, OCD, and PTSD.

My approach

I use a patient-centered approach. I believe we have to go where the client wants to go. Therapy is for the client, so I need to listen to them and explore the things that are important to them.

My communication style

I want my clients to feel safe. I am nonjudgmental, and I want them to be comfortable talking to me. That's not to say that things don't get uncomfortable at times. It does. But I still want them to know it is a safe place to say the things that need to be said.

My journey to mental healthcare

I found myself in the social work field, even though that was not what my degree was in. I liked helping people, so I went back to school and followed through with my training.

My goals for you

I explore with the client what they would like to work on. I will make suggestions, but I want the goals to be their goals.

I will do some exploring to determine what the client's issues are and what they expect from therapy.
