I work with adults specializing in anxiety, stress, anger management, life transitions, LGBTQ+, and women's issues. I use a Person-Centered and Solution-Focused approach that allows you to decide the support you need to make progress and start feeling better.

I work with adults dealing with life transitions, work transitions, and personal and social pressures that often show up as anxiety, depression, stress, and anger. I help you navigate these transition periods, build skills to feel better about yourself, and develop a more positive outlook on life.

My approach is Person-Centered and Solution-Focused because I believe you are the expert in your life, and I'm here to guide you in the direction you want to grow. We build a shared understanding of your reality, set goals together, and chart a path forward that honors your needs and strengths.

My communication style

My communication style is straightforward, calm, and personable. I want you to feel comfortable talking with me about anything, and I pride myself on listening without judgment. Working with me will feel like speaking with your best friend who happens to be a counselor.

My journey to mental healthcare

My journey to becoming a therapist took a few turns. I volunteered for a suicide prevention hotline in college, taught high school, then became a school counselor helping students transition through major life changes. I now meet with people who want to improve their ability to manage life's stresses.

My goals for you

My approach to goal setting is all about working together to define what you want to accomplish in our time together. This starts by building trust and getting comfortable with what it means to be in therapy. Over time, we'll set goals and track your progress, working out a plan to get you where you want to be.

Our first session

In our first session, we'll spend most of our time talking about how you've been feeling recently, and I'll ask questions to better understand why you may be feeling that way. The first session is about building an initial connection and helping me get a sense of where we should go from there.
