Hi there, I'm Carol!
I thoroughly enjoy what I do, and I have worked in an agency, private practice, inpatient and outpatient programs, clinics, hospitals, and assisted in adoptions. I worked with children, adolescents, young adults, and geriatric patients. I use my extensive background and training to create independent treatment plans based on client needs.
My focus
Currently, I prefer to work on brief therapy and situational distress. I prefer to take a problem-solving approach and deal with an issue as it presents, utilizing history only if it is helpful in the therapeutic plan.
My approach
I employ a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) with DBT, and Gestalt mixed in there. Treatment is specific to the client's needs and diagnoses. I use my extensive experience to enhance the therapeutic relationship. I am also trained in trauma therapy and work with PTSD and other anxiety disorders.
