I typically work with adults and children. I'm most comfortable treating people who experience trauma, anxiety, depression, and family conflict.

My approach

My approach to therapy utilizes trauma therapy, race issues/race identity, couples counseling, solution-focused therapy, anxiety, cognitive behavioral therapy, depression, and family conflict.

My communication style

I'm empathetic, compassionate, nonjudgmental, and easy-going. I'm aware that I have to meet the needs of each individual client, so I'll build rapport to make sure that the client feels comfortable.

My journey to mental healthcare

Since I was a child, I had a passion for helping people in need. People tend to be very open with me and they feel comfortable talking to me about difficult situations that have transpired in their life. I'm aware of childhood trauma and how beneficial therapy is to address trauma.

My goals for you

After intake and during the initial assessment, attainable goal setting will be established by asking the client to list or discuss the reason why they sought out therapy and what they are hoping to change. Goal setting helps create a plan of what the client hopes to achieve or accomplish.

An introduction, intake, discuss the different aspects of confidentiality, and ask what their reason for seeking therapy is.
