Hi there, I'm Nathan!

I'm glad you're taking this first step to reach out! I take a collaborative approach to therapy, so we'll only proceed at your pace, in the direction that you want.

My focus

If you experience anxiety or depression, then you're a normal human. Addictions? Then welcome to the club. I work with individuals and couples, and with anyone 16+. That said, I spend the majority of my time accompanying young adults (18-35) through their many life transitions.

My approach

My first goal is to know and understand you as you truly are. Afterwards we can talk about diagnosis or exercises if that's what you want. You deserve to feel respected and valued. I prefer a person-centered, strength-emphasized approach that combines acceptance of reality with our power to change.

My communication style

I’m non-judgmental and a good listener. You’re not a math problem, but rather a unique person.

My journey to mental healthcare

I ended up as a therapist because I wanted to escape the world's rush to dollar signs and CEO status, and to do something meaningful with my life instead. The idea of standing in front of a classroom every day intimidated me, but this one-on-one or two-on-one has been perfect. I love what I do.

Goals should be both measurable and realistic. Your success is my success. Together, we'll break down what you want and figure out how to get there.

Our first session

A first session with me contains zero pressure. As I said at the beginning, I want to know you as a person. And so—we'll talk about your job and your family, your social life, etc., and about whatever it is that brought you here. You're a complete package, and you deserve to be treated as such.
