I prioritize active listening and strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where patients feel heard, validated, and empowered to express themselves openly. I use clear, honest, and supportive language to build trust and encourage engagement in the treatment process.

My journey to mental healthcare

My journey into mental health care began with a deep passion for helping others navigate life’s most difficult challenges. I started my nursing career twenty-five years ago in Nigeria, West Africa, where the ordeal of mental illness is more pronounced.

My goals for you

I approach goal setting as a collaborative and empowering process that centers on the patient's values, strengths, and readiness for change. From the start, I work to build a trusting relationship where patients feel comfortable identifying what matters most to them.

Our first session

During the first session, my primary goal is to create a welcoming, safe, and nonjudgmental space where patients feel comfortable sharing their story. I take time to get to know each individual, asking about their current concerns, mental health history, medical background, lifestyle, support systems, and any previous treatment experiences.
