I have worked in Social Work with a specialty in Mental Health. I bring years of experience supporting people through difficult times, and I'm committed to creating a space where you feel heard and understood.

My focus

I have the most experience working mostly with clients who struggle with anxiety and depression from 13 to 60 years old.

My approach

I have a casual approach, which I often describe as 'talking to a friend.' It is an interactional and positive focus, where you can get support, but it doesn't 'feel like therapy.' I considered myself realistic, a great option for first-timers to therapy with a nice dose of dark humor to get through some tough times in life.

My communication style

Clients describe my style as easygoing, easy to talk to, and solution-focused. My goal is for you to feel comfortable expressing yourself with a therapist who is actively listening and engaging with you throughout the session.

My journey to mental healthcare

I initially wanted to help people. Nowadays, I see myself as someone who contributes and also benefits from therapy services, too, since I have had my own struggles. Everyone needs mental health support, and anyone can fall into a terrible situation.

My goals for you

I approach goals as you want me to. Sometimes it is important to vent, think about options, move forward, or do nothing! During our session, I will support your current state.

Our first session

I will ask a lot of questions in the first session to get a sense of what happened, how it impacted you, and where you would like to go. Most times, people are unsure of how they can feel better, which is understandable. So, we talk it out as you need, and it can change weekly if it helps!
