My communication style

I take a person-centered approach with patients that focuses on symptom relief. I believe in providing individuals with education and options so they can pick a treatment that is right for them.

My journey to mental healthcare

I received both my nursing degree and advanced practice degree from the University of Maryland, School of Nursing. I have since worked for the University of Maryland Medical System on one of its inpatient psychiatric units.

My goals for you

I work with you to set realistic goals for treatment and recovery. It's important to base expectations on what medications can reasonably do and what other resources and treatments are available to support your progress.

Our first session

During the first session, I complete a comprehensive assessment looking at symptoms, psychiatric history, medical history, social history, and previous medication trials. We then discuss possible medication options and form a treatment plan together.
