Hi there, I'm LaShai!

I offer compassionate, client-centered counseling with a focus on anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, relationship issues, and personal growth.

I work with individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, and life transitions, helping them navigate challenges and build confidence.

My approach

I provide an eclectic approach to therapy that empowers you to heal and grow. I tend to utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy most frequently, though all approaches offer helpful tidbits that we can use depending on where you are in your journey. We just do what works for you, no need to make it too complicated!

My communication style

Clients describe me as calm and open. I want you to feel heard and that we are meeting your needs. I am laid back, open-minded, and communicate respectfully and transparently. I hope you feel comfortable saying exactly what you are thinking and feeling. Just be yourself. Do not be surprised if we have some fun and laughter along the way!

My journey to mental healthcare

I love being a therapist! It is very rewarding to see people feeling better and meeting their goals. Originally, I had directed my career towards law, but I quickly learned I would rather work on helping people work on the root issue(s).

You are the boss in your journey. I am here to help you. Sometimes people are not quite ready for specific goals, and that is okay. I will meet you where you are.

During our first session, we will get to know each other and see if we are a good fit, like a first date in mental health! We will be sure to identify your concerns, background, and goals. I respect the courage it takes to open up to someone.
